A member emailed today, confused, and seeking clarity. The source of their confusion was outside of TrafficHoopla, and we understand, there is much begging for your everything, and it’s sometimes difficult to see through all the hype, hoopla, and anecdotes.
This week, we updated our front page look, which is and has always been our blog. I also added a short page about the meaning of our name.

Hoopla is excitement, hype, publicity, action, activity, brouhaha, bustle, buzz, commotion, drama, elation, emotion.
The hoopla in our name, TrafficHoopla, is on purpose, branding first, and meaning we are here to help guide you past all the hype, hoopla, and other anecdotes common throughout the world of Internet marketing.
Advertising in general is hoopla, both online and offline.
Our beliefs, our methods, and what we do is consistent, conservative, educated, experienced, and professional.
We take nothing for face value, we test everything, and statistical data rules.
And although we have many respected friends in this business, we tend to avoid joint-ventures, and avoid participating in the so called “good Ole boys” network that tends to blur most Internet marketing.

I personally want to take this moment to congratulate David, thank David for his excellent work, and thank David for being a great partner and friend.

My guess is that at least one of your dreams is connected to the reason you joined TrafficHoopla, and we’re here to help.

First and foremost, ongoing daily web site traffic is everything. Think about this basic principle and make obtaining it your prime focus.

A few years ago we stumbled onto this business in a search to make money online. We soon discovered through many failures that ongoing daily traffic is the key ingredient to Internet marketing success.

At the time, our daily traffic volume was maybe 100 hits on a good day. We therefore went on a mission to learn about and build ongoing daily traffic. And since it is the “key ingredient,” we put all else aside.

Yes, it’s true. We turned 100% of our focus to traffic building. This may not work in the offline business world, but online a person can actually build traffic first and then build a business. In fact, this is the ideal route! But that is a topic for another day.

One important discovery that we made early on was the advertising mode of “manual” hit exchanges. This discovery was huge and its benefits are the reason why TrafficHoopla exists today.

The premise of hit exchanges is rather simple: You agree to look at advertisements of other members, and they, in turn agree to look at yours. But the value of using hit exchanges is not only in the traffic you generate for viewing other member’s advertisements, but also in the traffic rewards earned for referring others. And this is where we’ve found our success.

We then used “manual” hit exchanges on a daily basis to promote a free “portal-style” web page that listed other hit exchanges filled with our referral IDs. The response ratio was strong and our daily traffic volume was steadily growing as we were earning traffic for both viewing other member’s advertisements and for referring others. And as we were consistent in this process, the traffic and traffic rewards multiplied into approximately 10,000 ongoing daily hits.
