Go Fishing
A poor hungry young man sat moping on a bridge,
watching a bunch of fishermen.
Seeing all the fish they caught, the young man said,
“If only I had fish like that, I would be set.
I would sell the fish, buy food and clothes, and be happy.”
One fishermen overheard him, replied,
“I will give you fish if you will do me a favor.”
“Okay!”
“Tend this line for me, I have a few errands to run, I will be back shortly,” the fishermen told him.
The young man gladly accepted the offer.
As he tended the man’s line, the fish were really biting, and he reeled in one after another. It was not long before he was smiling, enjoying fishing.
When the fishermen returned, he gave him the fish as promised.
Then he told him, “But I also want to give you some advice. The next time you are in need, do not waste time daydreaming and wishing for what could be. Get busy, cast the line yourself, and make something happen.”
