I Do Not Sit At The Computer Ever

I Do Not Sit At The Computer Ever

I confess, doing online business for more than 13-years, I do not sit at a computer, ever.

You may already know my story. I started online business with nothing. No knowledge, no understanding, no experience, zero.

And to be honest, the thought of sitting at the computer for hours is scary.

I am an athlete, an active person, I prefer the outdoors. And if I sit at the computer for hours, my back aches, I feel run down, it is not good for me.

So after a few years struggling with sitting at the computer, I had a big idea. Stand at the computer instead of sitting down.

What I Did I Do My Standing Desk

I took an old drafting table with adjustable legs and set it level, like a counter top. I set the height at a comfortable keyboard working height, without leaning over, allowing for good standing posture.

As for my computer screen, it is set out front, up, about three to four feet away, the middle of the screen at eye level.

If you were to see me today, doing my online business, I stand at the computer for hours, active and energized, music often playing, sometimes dancing, and no back aches.

Okay, here is another confession, I am almost always dancing. BIG SMILE!

Almost weekly I hear of another online business person struggling with issues relating to sitting at the computer for hours. No, I am not a doctor or any so called expert about such issues. However, standing up to the computer was life changing for me, and to be honest, the only possible way I could survive doing this business.

No, my big idea here, standing at the computer instead of sitting down, is nothing new, although I was doing it for years before seeing others write about it. Last year, some big time guru blogger was talking about it. I searched Google today, and there are many others talking about it. I think this is great. If it helps you, wonderful.

I say, do whatever works best for you.

Those who know me, know I work hard in this online business, working every day, my day starts at four in the morning. However, I take far more breaks than revealed, I go outside frequently, I am extremely active, I do a lot of family activities, and I take a big nap every day. The important thing, it is a daily routine, mixes hard work with family and fun, and it works best for me.

I will say it again, do whatever works best for you.
